Hi everybody. The 54 is now home from the paint shop. I have finally succeeded in creating my gallery thanks to a lot of help from some of you. Please take a look. I will be updating as progress happens. Next is the Rod Doors install. Thanks, John
Holy *****! I had no idea your truck was that nice or that far along. That is beautiful. I really love the paint color and the rims are the icing on the cake. I wish mine was that nice! Definatly keep posting progress pics! -4speed
Thanks for all the kind words. The dark red paint shows dust really bad, but when it's clean the contrast to the SS and chrome is nice. I'm working on the interior now and then the bed wood. Pix will be forthcoming along with more requests for help. Thanks to all who have answered questions so far in this project. John
Beautiful truck John, big high 5's to you! Don't worry about showing the dust...........90% of the fun is polishing them up, while all the neighbors watch!
regards...........freezeplug
BTW, don't sweat the dust. In fact, if you leave it alone for a reeeaaaaalllllyyyy long time, you get a nice suede look. My cab has that look in the barn where it's stored.
The color I voted for was chapagne silver/gold. It does not show dust. But, since this is the wife's truck, she out voted me. But the red is bold, and she has promised to help clean it, so I guess it will be alright. Thanks for the input, John
