I stopped into NPD today and left with mixed results.
For some reason I have driven right by NPD in Ocala and never realized it. Yesterday I was in Orlando and logged onto FordTrucks and by chance saw a NPD ad, so I decided to stop in on the way home.
They were busy today. Two guys at the counter and they couldn't hardly keep up with the walk-in traffic and answer the phones (which never quit ringing).
I bought some engine red paint, speedo gasket, and a non perforated headliner. I wanted the perforated one, but they were out of stock. Since its a freight item, it was nice to be able to walk out the door with it anyway.
Nice people, super nice showroom, some nice cars and trucks as well. A 65 Mustang with 1300 miles on it and a 70 F100 with only a few hundred miles on it.
Member's may want to hold off on ordering large ticket items where shipping cost is an issue; Az., Tx., and NoCal, there are 'Swap Meets' scheduled for the Month of March. Suggest contact vendor and inquire if intend attending; if so, could they include the item in their inventory; or contact vendor and inquire if they plan on attn. any events in your area???
Posting link to Goodguy's schedule for example only, if have not attended one of their events it can take a day or so to see the entire show. Sometimes find the early season events may not have that many vendors, I usually call and inquire, or go to their website, I don't want to pay the outlandish cost of parking if the 'swap meet' section is small?? Anyhow, food for thought??
