C-6 Tranny 4X4,4X2 difference?

I am wondering if there are any differences besides the tail shaft on C6 4X4s and 4X2s.

C-6 Tranny 4X4,4X2 difference?

Internal parts only vary according to engine size, more clutch plates with larger engines usually. The output shaft on 4x4 is several inches shorter and the extension housing is only about 6 inches long with the flange at the back for the transfer case to mount up.

You can use a C-6 2wd and have it made into a C-6 4wd. That is what I did. I had a C-6 Big block 2wd and a C-6 small block 4wd.
