Good day all,
New to this site. Okay 89 F250 w/351. Crate motor couple years old. 6 months ago new radiator and heater core. Just put in a new water pump and second thermostat. All NAPA based parts.
Truck wont heat. Seems not to be circulating. Let truck warm up, gauge only goes to the N on normal. Top hose gets almost hot..bottom hose cold.
Tried pinching off the top hose...no change. Tried Cardboard in front of radiator..no change.
I use to have scorching heat...not verified after new heater core and radiator went in during the summer.
Pull and check thermostat in pot of boiling water. Chances are your thermostat has failed - parts quality has taken a big nosedive lately on a lot of things.
agreed. check the t-stat. the top hose is block outlet, bottom hose is block inlet. so the top should be hot, and the bottom should be cold, or cooler than the top hose.
