Hey I took mine off the tailgate, too. Next time I was in there, Peter gave me a new one..(ha ha, what am I supposed to do with this?-I took the other one off) I still have them. He also gave me couple license plate brackets-I have one of them on the back. They are the most prominent Ford store in WY, also good people, so I'm pleased to have a Greiner truck. Peter's the one who made me aware of all the documents I could get on truck.
They sold the store, tho. Lithia bought it-I guess they are a chain. Kept the name due to it being so well known. Most of same people still work there. I still stop in for coffee.

Mine did come with steps but I removed them shortly after I bought the truck. I found some rust starting on the rockers, and it seemed to be more prevalent where the steps were. Some days I miss them. I put a 2" full truck "lift" on but haven't gotten bigger tires yet. Planning to go with 275/65, so I imagine I will want the steps back at that point. Maybe a good time for some amp steps.
I do like the tints for sure. They will take some getting used to, especially at night. The backup lights on there trucks are so terrible. Going to led's barely helped. Now with the tints, it's almost like I don't even have reverse lights, lol. Guess it's time to get to the backup camera upgrade I've been planning on.

94 F-250. 5.0L 302 V8, with 5spd manual. LD model (light duty F250).
6600 GVWR as opposed to the HD models. Air bag steering wheel is a
dead giveaway-they also only came in regular cab and two wheel drive.
This one is an XL with just 36k original miles. Built at Norfolk Truck on
3/4/94, so birthday coming up soon.

Thanks guys. I s'pose I might get busted for going 9th gen on the 12th gen page, but I like truck stories. I've never felt that I could afford a new truck, so my 4 were all bought used. They're all one-owner and with the exception of this one, I have talked to or met all the 1st owners.
This truck went from Norfolk convoy to a dealer in Alcoa TN. 1st owner was
73 when he bought the truck new. He put an avg of 3.8k per year on for the
first 5 yrs, and then the mileage falls off...he passed away in a nursing home,
and his family traded the truck in at a BMW dealer in Atlanta GA.
Internet is how I get into trouble. Couldn't believe the condition of the truck. BMW dealer put the truck on Ebay. Never used Ebay but that's how I got the truck. Flew to Atlanta-drove back-loved every minute of the drive. That was 2009, and the truck had 29k. I've had for 8.5 years and now at 36k. I feel I have an obligation to the memory of that original owner to
preserve a truck that he clearly cared about.
You won't believe these pictures. Took these last fall. I still wonder how he
drove the truck without ever getting in.

Yeah. The 2014 I just got makes 4. Why I had some sleepless nights and I
tried to get outta the deal for awhile. I told myself everything's OK the way
it is-you shouldn't get another truck. But I'm rural ya know, I'm frugal with
money so that I can afford the truck habit, and don't have spendy entertainments or any of that-just riding 4-wheelers, rodeo, shooting-rural kind of stuff. Doesn't cost much. I just as soon spend a day waxing trucks or under 'em doing oil change or something.
I got my first Ford truck when I was 17. A midnight blue 74 F100 dentside.
Can't remember what engine-it was V8 and the truck was manual. I like sticks. Was a XLT/Ranger and after 2 years I sold. Only one I ever sold
and wish I hadn't. But you do stuff like that when you are a teenager. I
assume it's in truck heaven, but it would be cool if somewhere along the
way somebody found it and restored it. That would be cool.

Mark that 94 is sweet! IMO that is still one of the best looking bodies the F-series has ever worn. Yours still looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor too, a real rolling time capsule there. Unfortunately most trucks that age in western PA are all beat to hell and back and rotted to pieces, held together by nothing but duck tape and rust!
One of the best things about yours too is it's a low-option truck-just a radio and vinyl bench seat. No other fancy stuff to distract you from the simple joy of driving. A part of me would love to see vehicles like that come back to the market. Why does every vehicle on the road need to be an i-pad on wheels?

to deal with?
The owner of my '14 said he always washed off the underside, so I guess PA is one of those states that salts the roads in winter? My 94 came out of Tennessee, and it seems to be a pretty good climate for trucks-I see nice older ones from time to time. Had a good experience buying that truck, so
I wasn't gun-shy about going across country to get one again.
