2005 Expedition won't start.

I have a 2005 Expedition with about 105,000 miles on it. One day it was parked and running in my driveway while I ran into my house for a second and when I came back out it died and would not restart. Sometimes it would want to start for a couple seconds or so, but that was rare and it would never stay running. I was told to check the number 12 fuse, press the fuel pump reset switch and replace the fuel pump altogether. I replaced the fuse and nothing happened. I pressed the reset switch and it did run for about 5-10 seconds, but I think that was just coincidence. Then I checked the power at the module by the left rear tire and of the 6 pins, 2 had power, so I assume that is good but it still didn't start. So I replaced the fuel pump assuming that had to be the problem but again, it will crank and crank and crank but will not fire. So if anybody can tell me what to do or what to check, I would really appreciate the help.

Did you connect a scanner and read any codes that might be stored? If so, what are they?

+1 needs the codes read
It could be a few things.
Crank sensor
Cam sensor
low fuel pressure. Since you changed the fuel pump. Did you also change the fuel filter?
Stuck Throttle
Stuck ICV
.. On and on...
So read the codes is the first thing I would do.

I don't have a code reader so I can't check for fault codes. But I did pull the gas tank back down and check power at the the fuel pump, which it did have. Then I hotwired the pump just to make sure it was good, it was. So I took it to my local dealership, and they say its the module behind the back left tire, mounted on the frame. They don't have it on just yet, but I hope that fixes it.

I hope so too, thanks for the feedback. Can you update when all set and done? I'm very new to expedition but not new to playing with cars.

05 Exp starts and runs intermittently
my 05 Eddie Bauer expedition has 68000 miles on it. I couldn't get it started brought it to the Ford dealer the code said it needed a fuel rail sensor. Had it replaced ever since then the truck always starts, sometimes one crank, but sometimes it takes up to 4 or 5 cranks then all of a sudden it starts up, once it's running it never stalls it never shuts off I can drive it from here to California without shutting it off of course in fear that it won't start again. Lol. checked the fuse for the fuel pump, Ford dealer is also confused because there are no codes and they have no idea what it could be. They're telling me to maybe replace the fuel pump but that would be just a possibility because once the truck is running it doesn't stall which typically happens when a fuel pump goes bad. Even the dealer told me that if it was the fuel pump that it would shut off and stall every once in a while and then it would restart and I would go another few miles and then it would stall again. Etcetera etcetera ..... any suggestions ?please help,,, driving me crazy.
