So those crappy old wagon wheels I scored for a Franklin got the royal treatment today. I took them to Gainey's Sandblasting in Linden NC today to be prepared for paint. (Gainey's does great work for reasonable money and is a heck of a nice guy to boot, (910) 980-0621)

VHT Cast Iron Gray enamal

In the oven one at a time to cure at 200* for an hour

Next stop? Mount up my 37" MTRS

Well after baking in the oven (made the house smell great

) the finish is nice and hard. I think it will last a long time.

Thanks gentlemen. I did not want the same old black I see everywhere but I did want dark. I think with the black hubs and tires it will look very good and balanced.

I used some cheap spray on bedliner for the 15 inch factory rims that I put my 31's on. That with the silver lugnuts looked pretty good.

I have since painted my hubs and polished the stains off of the lug nuts. They look really good now.

I may be trying Hummer H1 wheels and 2" steel spacers soon.
