From what I have read it only does it on the coil sprung 05+
From what I've read.....errr, wait, I've never really read about it, LOL!
I've heard the term, but never paid it any attention. So when I saw it posted here in the '99 - '03 forum, I thought I'd share what my "Eagle Eyes" saw (sharp I tell ya, razor sharp eyes!! LOL), that being, the truck in question wasn't a '99 - '03 truck.

I've experienced this before. It was in a '96 350. It scared the crap out if me. It was my bosses truck and I told him I'm never driving that thing on the freeway again!
I thought I had seen references to a '05+ coil spring conversion being an upgrade for our trucks. Am I mistaken?
It is, and it is a good upgrade. Most 05+ trucks do not death wobble.
Death wobble can happen to any solid axle vehicle. It is pretty much always due to play in some steering or suspension component. More caster almost always improves DW, so they are selling that kit as a "fix".
