throttle cable 66 240 i6

Hey guys I have seen that it seems there is no longer a cable avaliable for the i6 f100's ..I saw someone say they got a universal lokar one and it worked.. anyone know the length need for it.. or the orginal part number and length...

I am one cable away from getting on the road with old 66 I pulled out of a field last tag was '86 lol....(still major project but almost rolling)

THREE different accelerator cables for 1966 F100 I-6:

C5TZ-9A758-AE .. Accelerator Cable-26.06" long / Obsolete

1966 F100/250 4WD & F350/600 240/300 I-6 (except 1966 F100 240 I-6 with T/E) / 1967/68 F500/600 240/300 I-6.

Hello, have you found anything to fit your truck yet? I was driving mine the other day, and the cabe snapped and the pedal went to the floor. If you found one to use, some info would be greatly appreciated

Jared: The Lokar cables are UNIVERSAL, which means there will be some effort to install, it's not a direct bolt-on like an OE cable. There are several lengths available, choose one you know is long enough, then trim it to fit, easy to trim, not easy to make longer

They have them in stainless, or if you want something a little more understated, in black.

Genuine Ford Parts: 240/300 I-6's with 2WD use different accelerator cables than with 4WD

1966 F100 2WD 240/300 I-6: There are two different accelerator cables, both are obsolete, neither are reproduced AFAIK

C5TZ-9A758-AG .. Accelerator Cable - 28.66" long / Obsolete

1965/66 F100/250 2WD 240/300 I-6 without T/E (Thermactor Emission-smog pump).

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 1 = 800-543-4959.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 1 = 607-722-5371.

HIGH BUCK! BOB ALLEN FORD in Overland Park KS has 1 = 913-381-3000.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

T/E was mandatory in 1966 Passenger Cars/F100's, E100's & Bronco's sold new in CA / Other states & Canada may have mandated it as well.
