SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!
Alright guys im new to this page and im not 100% on using it BUT i thought id give it a try here I NEED HELP with my 1986 F250 its got the 351w and an elderbrock 4 barrel 600 cfm on it. When its idling its fine but when i drive it the RPMs shoot up and drop rapidly and i have no power it falls on its face and i dont know what to do! ive rebuilt the carb changed the rotor cap wires plugs ive changed the mechincal fuel pump, and the thermostat (i thought it was over heating) someone give me some advice or maybe this happened to you and you know whats up?!?!!

Duraspark?? Does it have the the box on the drivers fender with two sets of wires running out of it?
Have you checked the timing?
What do the plugs look like when you pull them out?
Fuel filter clean and installed properly?

Of course, you said "when i drive it the RPMs shoot up and drop rapidly" this can only happen if the transmission or tires are slipping. Check your transmission fluid.
