is it a crank no start or no crank or slow crank. how do you know the starter and battery are fine did you load the battery when testing get an amperage output. do you have a fuel pressure gauge. do you park on a hill and what level is the fuel gauge on.
You need to get some clue or it just guessing.

What does the Theft lamp do at those times?
When there is a no start, set with key on about 1 minute to see if the Theft lamp flashes a 2 digit code.
If no, check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail, with a gauge.
Do you hear the fuel pump run about 3 seconds and Key on?
These are the checks that should provide a direction to look further.
