I have a 2wd 1973 ford f100 with a small block 302. I also have a 1979 frame with the running gear that I'm going to do a body, tranny and engine swap. But I don't know what motor mounts I need can anyone help me out?
Maybe this will help? Are you going 2wd to 4wd? I would think that the motor mounts would transfer over?
Yes I am going to a 2wd to a 4wd. I look at the mounts that I have and they bolt from the side of the frame to massive front crossmember. And the frame I have now doesn't have the same cross member
2wd and 4wd engine cross members are different. So the "1979 frame with the running gear" you already have is 4wd and it has the trans mission and transfer case already?
Because if your current trans (in the 2wd) is a automatic it will not work, because it will not adapt to the transfer case. If it is a 4spd and the frame you are swapping to is a 4spd you should be ok. As long as the transfer case has the adapter.
