Apple Pay
I'm having trouble seeing why this system seems to be taking off.
Let's see:
- I have to have an iPhone 6 to use it
- There's even more reason for somebody to steal it
(I'm sure that they will figure out how to hack a few purchases with it)
- I really don't see it as any more convenient
- It's more secure? time will tell
- If my phone runs out of charge/breaks/ or I lose it -- so long purchasing power
There's a lot of discussion about more secure credit cards-- and the cards with chips are apparently on their way here (they've been used elsewhere for a while). Fine -- I still have a relatively small item to track -- and I may even have more than one type(!) . I can keep it in my wallet until I want to use it, unlike a phone that a fair number of people keep in much more exposed locations and frequently use.
Anybody for the rebuttal?

IMHO as all this new crap comes into being the "old fashioned" ways of paying for things becomes less dangerous to use. Knock on wood but I've been using PayPal and a few online sites where a debit card is listed for almost 10 years and yet to be hacked or otherwise breached.
The new systems seem to be highly reliant on having one more device that co-incidentally comes from those offering it. Add in the cost of that thing along with what's sure to be more temptation to steal them it doesn't make sense to me.
