Rev Limiter
I had asked a question a few weeks ago about this, but now im starting to wonder. I was told the rev limiter obviously limits how far you rev, but its also the sound that sounds like the engine is starting while hitting the rev limiter, i.e. the drag strip, youve probably all heard it. Well anyway, i was at this guys house and he had a 82 Blazer with a fuel injected 400 ci. He put the edelbrock electronic ignition and it has the rev limiter. Well he reved it and it pulled the spark at 5000 RPMs, but it didnt make the sound. Now recently, my parents just bought a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix, and the rev limiter is set at 4000 RPMs. However, i kept the accelerator to the floor, and instead i got back a delayed sound. It would limit go down then limit then go down etc. How would i be able to make the limiting faster? I also saw a new mustang with one, but he got it to work while in neutral, the grand prix only works in park. if anyone knows how that works please tell me. Thanks a lot
Danny
