Was hoping for some help on this, am unable to bleed driver/front brake caliper on my '99 E-150. when I remove the bleeder screw no fluid comes out and when trying to bleed by pumping pedal, feels as though there is an obstruction. eventually it will bleed by gravity which I did until I was certain all air was removed. Caliper is just under 2 years old. Would this suggest a problem with the unit and should replace? Brakes seem fine now. Thanks
Did you remove the Brake filler Cap .....If you do not let air get on top of the fluid ( by removing or loosening the Filler Cap on Master ) the fluid will now flow as it should.....
I'll second the issue could very well be in the flex line. Even though they might look great on the outside no way to really tell what's happening inside.
The brake bleeder screw/fittings have been known to partially plug up too. Remove it completely, have someone slowly step on the brake pedal (you rag in hand) and watch how quickly the fluid exits.
In fact I tried it again and found the bleeder screw plugged and very small piece of something in the caliper hole, probably from when I changed the brake lines. Thanks all for info.
