Ever since I bought my highboy a year and a half ago, I've been rolling around on some 31" tires off my old 2wd rig. It was driving me nuts having it rev so high (try 3k rpm doing 60 ), not to mention it looked like it was rolling around on casters.
....and I'd get stuck easily
So back in September, right after I started school my buddy got a hold of some 33" BFG All Terrain's, but since he didn't have 16.5" rims and I do, he gave em to me for free. So when I got back for winter break, I slapped them on
They looked much more at home on the truck, and increased driveability a lot.
----
But that's not where the story ends. I found a guy who wanted to trade me my 33's for a set of 35" All Terrains he had. After a long game of phone tag, he decided to just give me the 35's for free! Which is really awesome, because I think 35's fit these trucks really well. So, after only having the 33's on for 3 days, I pulled them off to put on the 35's. Lo and behold, she looks great (at least I think so )
I went from 3k @ 60 mph with the 31's to doing 2300 @ 60 with the 35's. Lost a smidgen of power, but driveablilty is so much better now.
Nice score. Really changes the stance of the truck.
Hope you enjoyed your time back in the PNW over break.
I did. It was so nice to get back where I don't have to worry about freezing the family jewels off every time I walked outside. Never thought I'd miss the rain and overcast days, but I did.
Are you saying you don't like our winters here? I will have my SC up there in Ames some time this spring, might get a hold of you for a visit. Unless you keep up with all the bad talk about my state, lol.

hahaha I'm just a softie. Back home in the PNW the winters rarely dropped below 30. Seeings how I grew up there....
