Hey guys, I just replaced the intake manifold on a friend's 2003 Expedition 5.4L and now it has idling issues and will just shut off. I also replaced all of the spark plugs. Does anyone have pictures of the vacuum lines so I can make sure I hooked it all back up correctly? I can hear a hissing noise coming from the driver's side of the engine but I don't know if that was there before I started working on it. It's seems to drive okay but it runs a little rough when idling and will randomly shut off at idle. My guess is that it's possibly misfiring? I didn't use any dielectric grease on the COPs so I might take them all back out and put it on hoping that fixes it.

Where does that smaller o-ring go? On the black tube at the back of the manifold?

 

After further research I think that small o-ring goes on the black tube at the back of the manifold which would explain the hissing noise. I will check it out tomorrow.
