i have had a 2003 explorer xlt for about 4 months now and all i could say is, I LOVE MY SUV! yes, ive seen numeours beautiful escalade's, yukon's, x5's, ml's, navigator's, but i'll stick w/ my X. the only complaints i have with my riders is that the middle or the 3rd row seat's DON'T recline how come ford didn't come up with at least the middle row seat to recline? on long trips my six year old daughter's head tilts when she falls a sleep and i worry about her neck being sore when she wakes up. my wife has a 2001 toyota rav4 and the rear seats recline, so i will be taking the rav on long trips so my daughter can sleep in the recline position. i'm hoping something comes up like an adapter or lever that we could install to make the seats recline, then my explorer will be PERFECT.
