2010 f 150 extended cab

I have a 2010 f 150 extended cab and both back doors quit working at the same time. the top latch on both door release but the bottom latches do not release. It seems strange that both would fail at the same time.
can use some advise as to where to start??

I am having the same problem with my 2010, but only the drivers side. I am waiting for the thaw before I take a look at it.

has it been below freezing in your area... perhaps they got wet and are now frozen in the latched position?

back doors locked shut

It has been cold but has warmed up over the past few days.
It seems its only the bottom latches that are not working but I find it odd that both doors failed at the same time.
I guess my next move is to remove the panels and check out the cables and the plastic clips that attach to the latch mechanism ???

So, I finally got around to fixing this. I ordered the ends figuring that the plastic broke. After spending way too much trying to get the door apart in the closed position, I found that the ends were fine. Upon closer inspection, the cable to the lower latch had popped off the handle. After putting the cable end back into the slot on the door handle, the door now opens normally. I looked around, but I did not see anything broke. It is strange that happened, but I am happy that my door is now working.
