Currently have a 1967 F100 4x4 with a NP435 transmission, 1:1 transfer case, 3.25 rear and 35 inch tires. Truck doesn't do all that well on the freeway and drives like a trash truck. This truck is my daily driver and I feel as though I need something a bit more practical. Maybe do a bit better on the freeway and automatic would be nice as stick gets annoying after awhile.
Was looking at the c6 but it has the same final gear as a NP435.
360/390's introduced in 1968 F100/350's, used thru 1976.
Most sellers have never heard of the 352, so on sale day 352's magically become 360's or 390's.
It's the same scenario with 1968/76 F100/350's with 360's. The sellers are unaware, so on sale day 360's magically become 390's.
btw: Are you sure the 9's rear axle ratio is 3.25? This was a common ratio used with A/T, but M/T's usually have 3.50, 3.70, 3.89 or 4.11 gears.
The thing is, there was no front driving axle ratio of 3.25, so I doubt this is the ratio that the rear axle has. 1964/66 F100 4WD's could have either 3.50's, 3.70's or 4.11's front/rear.

I didn't mean to put 3.25. 3.5 is the correct gear ratio front and back. Also, the original 352 was shot so I purchased a 360 out of a 1974 donor truck.
I am just looking to drop the NP435 and replace it with a C6. Preferably change the transfer case while I am at it. Jut trying to make a list of what I am going to need to purchase other than the transmission - t-case themselves.
Go to the 67-72 forum at lookup TPDaniels thread on his F-250.For your F-100, use a 73-76 FE 4wd C-6 with an EB (early Bronco) Dana 20 with the correct factory adapter.
