Just curious, does anyone have any computer systems built into their trucks?
I'm working on building one into mine, hopefully I can use it for wireless internet access and work on projects on the go. I can also control verious things in the truck through a wireless network, and copy songs to my truck without leaving my office, so they'll be there when I go to leave.
Just wondered what you guys have done with custom electronics in your autos.
I doubt the normal home pc electronics can handle the temps that car audio can. If you gonna add bass I dont think the solder will hold either. i could be wrong tho but I wouldn't try it with a bass over 75watts. JMO
There are many people building there own auto pc's. try this link as an example. or do your own google search for others, people like to show there work off. http://www.dashpc.com/

Yep, I knew some people were, a friend of mine is also building a car PC. So far, I haven't seen many problems regarding excezive heat (or cold). I was just wondering if there was anyone at this site interested in high tech auto electronics.
