Leaf

Can I take a leaf off the rear suspension of my 72 f100? It has a slight slope going down towards the front. If I can take out a leaf will it drop the rear down level with the front? Thanks

Yes you can take one out of the leaf spring pack. It will lower it not sure if it will make it level or not that depends how much of a rake your truck has. Keep in mind though it will decrease your load weight you can have in the bed if you use it for any hauling/towing. Are your front coil springs cut or worn out that it is raking to the front? Depending if you want the truck lower or higher maybe new front springs is a better option unless your after the lowered stance.

^^ Might want to look into lowering shackle instead. That will keep your load capacity. Just have to watch what kind of clearance you have between bed and your current shackle.

taking out one leaf wont hardly do jack-sheet. two or three would maybe get it down some, but it would still be raked. and then you just have a truck that cant carry a cooler without draggin.

the only way to get it level is to do the shackle mods in the rear, or lift the front($$$expensive$$$)

other than that, you just have to get used to it. i would love to lift mine up in the front a few inches, but there just is not an easy way like on the newer trucks.
