I have a 1997 f250 that has an extremely leaky and rusted oil pan. In the process of getting it fixed the mechanic I go to priced it as 2k give or take, more likely give. He said the fuel lines on the bottom need to be replaced, bolts on my exhaust manifold and up-pipes here and there need to be replaced, and my front main seal? need to be replaced. My question is if anyone around the maryland/Pennsylvania area who knows how to do this work is interested in making some money and helping out a fellow enthusiast, personal message me please. I don't know if 2 grand is a good price on the project or not. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.
That's a lot of money, but that's a lot of work too. The motor has to come out of the truck to do the oil pan, so you're getting a lot of work for your money.
Get on the PA chapter. Ask those guys there if somebody is around that might be able help you. Good bunch of guys, and you never know, you might end up being just down the road from one of them!
