Hi,I am looking to buy a set of matching wheels for my 79 f350 CC 2wd. I am looking a Eagle alloys 58s 16x8 front,16x10 rear ,smaller tires in front and something the size of the SCS f350 supersingle tires but in a metric size.
Has any body towed with a set up like this?I will be pulling a 30/40 foot tag or goose neck.460,4spd,4.10 dana 70

Suggest you check weight rating of the particular wheels you are using. I took a peek at one Eagle and the 8 lug wheels look like they are rated over 3,000 lb which is good... some aftermarket wheels are rated quite a bit lower.
I've seen the staggered set ups used for towing with 2 wd. Seemed to work fine but I wonder how the spare tire is handled? Diameter would need to match the rear to keep the diff happy but a rear would be too big for the front. Personally I would go for the same size on all 4 corners. With readily available 10 ply rated LT tires, you should be able to find a tire with plenty of capacity with same size front and rear.
