West Coast Mirrors
Anyone have any pictures of west coast style mirrors on 73-79 dents? I am looking at the ones from summit that are 5"x10" as I don't want them to be way huge. I really like the looks of them on the few trucks I have seen. Thinking about putting them on my 79 F250. Thanks!

I have the ones from summit on my 78. They r built nice but I had to modify the bottom a bit to keep them from sticking out too far. They come w the same bracket top and bottom and w the bottom all the way in they r still way too long. I removed part of it cut it down repressed it flat and drilled a new hole. I'm out of the cntry at the moment but I can snap some up close pictures when I get home Tuesday if u wish.
This is all I have for now.
The ones from fomoco sit in tighter to the door. I scored a set of those for my 71 a cpl months ago but haven't installed em yet

Nice truck!!!! I had a silver round headlight flareside years ago, wish now I hadn't gotten rid of it. But I am very fond of my current orange short wide bed.............She aint going anywhere, They are gonna have to bury me in her!

Thanks.. I sold my 77 long bed 4x4 years ago.. Always regretted it so I've had a hard time parting w any since then! Ill try to refrain from hijacking.. The summit mirrors r nice and I like em on my lifted truck.. If it were lower I'd prob try to score fomoco. Got the ones for the 71(2wd) at swap meet less than $50 so they r around. Found ur build thread. Sweet truck and IMO the west coast jr wld look great on there. My truck had no mirrors since paint when I bought it.. The guy who painted it just filled holes w bondo. The brackets for the bottom were luckily able to use the same hole after I just punched out the bondo

FYI....
There were also over-the-dealer counter Junior Western mirrors etched "Rotunda" instead of FoMoCo or the Ford oval.
If you have one please contact me as the other side of my 71 had been replaced with a cheap azz Grand Auto mirror head.

Funny those r actually the exact mirrors I bought for my 71 that I had referred to as fomoco. Figured no one wld get it if I referred to em different. Can't part w mine but I've seen several sets at swap meets n ford shows

I have 3-post West Coast mirrors on my '79.
If you need any close up pictures let me know. I really like the look, but with the 3-post mirrors it gets really old having to unbolt them everytime I need to squeeze into my narrow garage.
