Most important question I have ever asked here...

Which wiper blades do you all prefer? I have some Bosch blades on now, but I really do not like them.

These things are driving me crazy and I want to replace them, so help me out!

What ever ones are on sale at the time that I need new ones. I change mine as soon as the current ones start streaking my windshield.

I can't stand under performing whippers, and they are cheap enough that changing them often seems like a no brainer for me.

I think my current brand are from RainEx...

Yeah, I have done this, I just do not like the wiper performance (or lack thereof) I am getting with these Bosch blades.

I've been using Valeo blades, we sell them here at work. Only complaint is when they ice up. But that's with any non-sheathed blade really. Valeo is also OEM on later Fords, Actual OE replacement on the wifes Escape.

I have been looking at this brand on Amazon, but have no experience with them. I may have to look harder at them.

I've been happy with Michelins that Costco sells... they work well with some snow/ icing we've had this year. I also Rain-X my windows every couple months so I don't have to use the wipers at all if I'm going over 30mph!

I found that it doesn't matter.

A year or so back I got out the vibrator sander and some high quality glass polish and went to work on the front windshield. The previous owner had left some light scratches in the windshield and I was determined to minimize them. (I still need to go back over the windshield one more time, but that's another story.)

Anyway, after two really good polishings, I discovered that the windshield is so smooth that it naturally repels water as if it had a fresh coat of Rain X. Except that there's no low-light glare as there is with Rain X.

So the only time that I use the wipers is to remove the residual droplets after it's done raining...

Side note. Aquapel is light years better than Rain-X. Just hard finding it these days without ordering it. No low light glare. I use it on the front and back glass.

I use the Bosch Icon beam blades but they aren't near as good as the OEM wipers that came on our Explorer. Had to to replace them after 2 years and I can tell a difference. As much as some of the premium blades cost you would expect better performance and longevity.

Wiper manufacturers only design the blades to last 6-12 months. And a dirty windshield doesn't help matters. I clay bar mine once a year.

For what it's worth, Anco,no more than what they cost I change mine about every 6 months, usually about sept and again in April.

Don't like them either, lasted maybe 4 months and now they suck. So I'm going to see what the prevailing opinion is here and give another brand a try......staying tuned.

Anytime you run the blades on a window speckled with ice it will put tons of miles on them.

Local Wal*Mart used to sell a brand called Jamak. They carried a lifetime warranty.

They quit selling them, but they worked well. Like everything with a lifetime warranty, occasionally you have to get them replaced. If I got a cashier that wasnt paying attention, I could replace them in store. Technically, you're supposed to mail them back.
