Hey everyone !!
The wife made it home with no problems, I worry about used vehicles for the first week or two. I now have a truck that I can take to our get together's. I still have the 79 and always will. I changed up my signature and the pic. A good chance of snow pretty much all week here. We had a few flurries so far this year but nothing stuck.

Hey guys,
The weather here has been really crappy, cold and snowy and I caught the bug. Sad thing is it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am very happy for you.

I know very little about the lightning. I reckon I need to learn so I can sound knowledgable. it is a looker and a CLEAN BLACK vehicle is a joy to behold. The keeping it looking clean is the hard part.

I remember my second car as a young adult was black and, weather permitting, I washed it EVERY DAY. I don't have that energy any more.

Again, congratulations on your find.

Thanks guys and mike.. it's a deep blue. I have had black vehicles and they suck at keeping clean.

The Taliban decided to give us a wake up call this morning. They blew up a gas station about a football field or so from our barracks. We have berms and blast walls between us and the highway but we still had a little damage, mostly windows and doors blown out or bent. It happened so early that most everyone was still in bed so no one was hurt. Counting the days till I get the hell out of here !!!!

I am delighted to hear no one was hurt in the incident. There are too many others that have not faired as well. All of you have my deepest respect and admiration. I was Vietnam era Army but sent to Korea rather than The Nam.

Your dark blue truck looks great, but I fear will be difficut to keep looking clean during pollen season. It lasts only a month or so though. A California Duster will help a lot. I ordered that color on a my first new car. I do like that color, but as stated before, white in now my preference.

As my son pointed out to me, black is no more difficult to clean than any other color. It is only harder keeping it LOOKING clean.

Keep in mind that all of you on The Stan are not forgotten!!!

Yea I know what you mean about dark colored vehicles are a lot harder to keep looking clean. Love bug season is the worst. Never lived in north Georgia before so not sure if they even have love bugs.

Chief, glad to hear you are ok, and no one was hurt, it's rat B#&*%$#, chicken $#! morons you have to deal with over there. Hope your time till your leave for R&R goes by quickly.

As for the truck, great choice, you will enjoy driving it in the mountains.

No love bugs here in N Ga. Opossum, and raccoon cause more accidents crossing the road. Keep her straight, and treat it like a speed bump. Good luck, safe travels home. Bob

Thanks bob,
Yea that was close one. I learned along time ago to not swerve. A buddy in high school flipped his truck trying not to hit baby bunnies. Only a couple more days till February !!! Time is moving right along.
