BaggedMerc build thread
Figured I would make a build thread. Can share progress here, and it may force me to take more pictures as I go.
The Truck is a 1951 Mercury M3.
Key goal of the truck is to be comfortable and reliable, while being able to get low
. Body will remain as is. I really like the look of its age and patina. Maybe once the truck is on the road, driving around for a while, I'll consider bodywork and paint, for now, I'll just enjoy it as is.The truck:

Those pictures are of it dropped. Once setup, it will get lower

Was trying to post more pics, but had to put the baby to bed. More pics in a few.
Front End: Heidts Superide II
Rear End : Jag IRS
Top bracket is for the Heidts coilovers that are brand new in box lol

Aired out

Almost low enough in the front!

Rear end (tacked in, and no the 2x4s aren't permanent
)
Rear end tacked in, and air tank

Remaned calipers with parking brakes

Front ends is almost where I want it. May move the sock mount up, flip the bracket, and notch for the tie rod. Or I may find some Mustang drop spindles.
Rear end needs a little work. It's all rebuilt, but needs to move up still to get the rear end lower. Time will tell.
Here it is mocked up

EFI wiring harness

As you can see the motor needs everything completed. I'll document that as I go
Just some drop spindles to get the front end down lower. This thing needs to lay running board

Old girl needs a rad. This was a challenge. I wanted ports in specific places, and wanted a downflow with correct specs. lots of measuring and searching paid off

Fits that cradle nicely!

Hot damn! The front end sure does look pretty all buttoned up!
(That controller on the left is a home-brew height controller/dump. Its gone, as I went with another Autopilot V2 setup)!

Who says you can't build in a garage, or without a hoist!?
(Yes, I would still love a hoist lol)

Frame mounted my compressors. Viar 444Cs for those wondering.

One important thing a great cruiser should have.... steering.

Hey look, another wiring harness!! ughhhhh.
This is to wire the entire truck (Minus the EFI harness, seen above)
