I was just thinking of painting your whole truck in a rhino lining or line-x. It would protect your whole truck inside and out. I wonder how muck it would cost? I was thinking of putting one in my bed and my paint job sucks so i was thinking of doing the whole thing.
Actually it looks pretty good, and wears nicely. Fordzzzz77 has an old high boy that he covered the body and bed with a thinner coat of the stuff. He didn't do the inside, though. He's out of town right now, but the wife (fordzgal) can give you some of the particulars if she's home.
The Jeeps I have seen done look fairly nice. Have not seen any Fords, lately.
I think it looks better than painting your truck with a brush like I do To do your whole truck, inside and out, will require about six gallons or about $600 and 60 pounds.
i think flat black paint will look better, weigh less. but i would do your bed and the interior and even the underside of the truck with the line-x stuff
I did it to my ford, i did the while thing, not the inside though.
I used some stuff from cdn tire, called....ummmm hippo liner I think, Abd it cost about 45$ a box and one box was enough to do the whole front back of cab to headlights. I havent had my box on so I never painted it.
But in the end i think its pretty cool, its not a dull black its got some glisten to it in the sun.
my buddy did it to his j**p and it looks pretty good too.
I have a friend with a Chevy S-10 4x4, old model, and he repainted the top half white, and the bottom half with rhino lining, and it looks really good. It also protects the sides.
