Write your reviews

Some of you guys might have read in my build thread, but my rack bushings are already toast. They are dry rotted and crumbling and allow the rack to move back and forth when i turn the steering wheel. They are around a year and a half old and the truck hasn't even been on the road yet. I decided to right a review on the poor quality of the bushings on the speedway site. Here is what i wrote:

"I bought these bushings about a year and a half ago and have not had the truck on the road yet. They are already dry rotted and need replaced. I would not recommend buying these. Buy from a known quality manufacturer like moog or buy the urethane bushings available elsewhere."

I had pretty much decided that i was just going to get the urethane bushings that heidts sells and be done with it. Well earlier this evening i checked my emails and i saw a shipping confirmation email from speedway. I thought it was odd since i hadn't ordered anything from speedway. I opened it and it turns out they are sending me 2 new bushings. I was very surprised. Say what you want about speedways parts, they definitely have good customer service. Maybe i will have to write a review on my steering rack that the chrome is already rusting on as well.

So, if they are the same bushings what will you do with them? But it is nice to know that they read the reviews and care about what they say.

Kudos for the replacement part shipment by Speedway. Big miss on not reaching out to actually TELL you they were acting. Practice in 'making it right' usually comes from quality spills into customer experience. By all means, write the review on your rust issue.

Well, it might be another year and a half until the truck is on the road, so i might just mount these new ones and see if they are any better. If they too are deteriorating by that time, I will just end up getting the urethane mounts.
