Shuddering in Reverse

Shuddering in Reverse
2001 supercrew 4x4 5.4 117k
Problem:
When shifting into reverse, it takes about 2 seconds to engage. Then, under any acceleration other than "feather light", it shudders terribly until I let off the gas, and gently apply the gas again.
Once its up to speed, say 5 mph, if I give it gas, it shudders again, badly.
The trans fluid and filter have been FULLY changed with MercV, and otherwise it performs as if brand new.
The rear diff is open, (no clutches) and has had a change and fill of M1. U-Joints are new. So its def the tranny.
I did see on advance auto they sell a reverse line pressure accumulator.
Is this a common issue with the 01's? Solutions?
