Hi, I have a Meyer 7.5 that I would like to put on a 77 F250 4wd.
The truck mount (carton I think it's called) was originally rusted to the plow mount. It was not fun to get off and I eventually ended up cutting slits down the tubes, heated it with the torch, and then my dad hit one side with a maul and I hit the other at the same time. Then I welded it back up.
The carton is not made for a Ford. I think it's for a D*dg€. My issue is that I need to know how they mount up so I can make this one work. In every picture I see, they never show where the mounts go. This carton looks like it has a piece on top that the correct one for this truck (from plow website) doesn't have.
This is a farm truck so it doesn't have to look perfect, but it needs to be safe and dependable. I had to cut off the winch that the PO welded to the bumper/front spring hanger.
