Tow kit? Do I need one???
Have got a 93 f-150 xlt 5.0v8....automatic.......with no tow kit, just the bumper.......Should i get a tow package thing? and if so how much do they run? Thanks

If you are going to tow more than 1000 lbs , I would install a recever hitch. Also look at a after market trans cooler. My 96 150 pulls a 5500 TT with out problems. If your load is over 2000 stay out of OD

Check your manual for tow ratings. But in general the trailer magazines say a 150 is Ok for occasional light(under 5,000#) towing. I would use a good reciever hitch for anything over about 1,000#. If you are nearing maximum you might consider a tranny cooler. And if the tranny hunts gear, downshift until you are out of the hills.

Thanks for the help guys.....Called around and found uhaul will put one on for 100bucks...Of Course I cant do this until its out of the paint shop then the mechanics for the bad ac compressor
