Suggestions for this exhuast setup?
On my 95 Bronco, (5.0) I currently have the manifolds into one pipe, then into two going into the cat, then back to one with no muffler, then back into two behind the transfer case to dual tips out the back, with probably 1 1/2 pipe. I hate the sound, no rumble during low rpms. However, when I'm cruising at 75-85, the drone gets irritating, so i have to turn the stereo way up. What I am planning is: true dual (2 1/4) off the manifolds into a 2in/2out Delta 40, then dual out to small tips behind the wheels (no cat). Will this give me a good rumble about town, with better interior quietness for the highway? Would a different diameter affect it, ie 2" or 2 1/2"? Should I leave a cat on? I want that performance boost, but the noise tolerance for long drives is more important to me than the all-around rumble. I dont need a screamer, just something with presence... How do you all think this will work out for my needs, and would you all suggest anything different? Thanks!
