Lightbulb Can tow what?

I dont have the owners manual on my 1993 f-150 regualar cab 2wd. 5.0v8. I would like to use it to tow a tow dolly and a car on the tow dolly, it should be fine....any insite onto this would be greatly appreciated......btw...Wont be towing anything big...Just maybe my buddy's chevy s10 that always breaks down...

Can tow what?

I'm guessing about 6800 lbs. My 96 with the 5.8 E4OD 4X4 was rated at 7200 lbs. You might want to check and be sure it has an oil cooler at the base of the oil filter and a transmission cooler if you do much towing. Maybe someone with an owners manual can give you an exact figure on the towing capacity but hope this helps. If it is a manual transmission your towing capacity would be less.

Thanks Greg. Yeh I called my buddy who works at The local ford Dealership and drives a 93 f-150 also he is stoppin by to bring me his manual. btw nice try you got

Seems like the 1992-1996 5.0 / AOD / 3.55 was 7000 - 7200 lb. I think the 3.08 was around 6500 - 6800 lb.

If you have a 5 speed you are only going to be in the 3500-4000 lb range.

WARNING: The above figures come from a somtimes faulty memory.
