Man that's about as cool as it gets, the only thing that may top it will be your first drive. Congrats, just watch those carbon monoxide levels, I know you are.

It's a little 289 completely rebuilt. Nothing high horsepower, only a rv cam. I want to do long distance cruises and all we needed was enough power to pull a little trailer. Was going for gas mileage instead of power. Neighbor is installing a dyno this summer so we have plans to check it out and see what we got.
Boys the sound on the video just don't do it justice. It sounds real good here. And I don't think it will be so loud you cant hear yourself think. Just close to that.

Thanks Jim. Doors were closed only because I was only running for a minute to make the video. Yesterday between the oil and paint burning off and the antifreeze steaming as we tried to get the air out of the system you can believe all the doors were open and the fans were all on.

I seriously think that anyone who says they never made the vroom vroom sound could be highly exaggerating (BS...ing). But I've been running on addrenilin since "12:04 pm Saturday December 13 2014" when that first idled out after the cam break in and actually purred without a hitch. After that fireball that hit the ceiling when we first cranked it over and a couple of distributor adjustments it was all good. Ha but you should have seen the wife hit the door when that happened. She didn't even leave tracks in the snow between the house and the shop. I'm stoked and it feels real good.

Hehehe ya. I had to show you all that I wasn't just dubbing the motor sound in. Like I could figure that out. I couldn't even figure out how to post the video.

Observant. I was hoping someone would notice. Seemed fitting at the time. I'm not a big drinker anymore so the song was helping me celebrate.

Cruise down this way when you get it done!
HA. You know it. You will be one of the first to see it. For everyone else on here that don't know it I have to say the drive between my place and Scott's is one of my favorite roads anywheres. Beautiful mountains with a good wide road and glorious curves . And a nice and tight few miles around the twisties at St Mary's. It's been a long time coming but I can see the light at the end now. Box is getting bodywork and paint over the next couple weeks. Then we can install it and once its back I can try to figure out these Altman "Easy my ****" Latches.
