Vacuum wiper motor
I seen your picture of the dash with the instrument panel out. If you need to replace the vacuum wiper motor be sure to do it before you put the instrument panel back in. With the instrument panel in, the wiper motor is nearly impossible to replace. I found a good used wiper motor after buying the third one on Ebay. There is a company that rebuilds them, which is the route I will take if I ever need one again. They have the right tools and parts. I've had no success trying to repair the motors myself.
I like your idea of keeping the truck the way Ford built it. I also have the 4 speed with no synchros. It sure has a distinctive whine in 2nd and 3rd. Just try not to get in a hurry shifting. Patrick

Today I got some things done, I know a lot of you like the old 4 speed but I don't. I own model A's and I am sick of double clutching, I swapped out the 4 today for a light duty 3 speed. This is going to make driving this truck a pleasure instead of a job (only me saying that)
Old 4 speed
Bye bye
That's better.
