Grab bar is still intact and usable...Wife needs it to get into truck!




Cables are barely noticeable out the bottom but no holes in original cover.




The color is grey but not quite factory grey.


After reading several post here and there about installing a single gauge pod on a 2003 F250 SD with grab bars. I thought it couldn't be done. But ordered a pod that states "specifically designed to fit your 99-07 Ford Super Duty" But after receiving it and chatting with live support. it was no where close. Since I hate to have to return anything under $20 I decided to try and make it work.
I removed the factory pillar cover with grab bar still fastened (2 small screws). I cut and trimmed and fit, and trimmed and fit...until it looked real close. Took a scotch brite disc and polished the edges smooth.
I tucked the top edge under the grab bar and the other side one small screw under the weather strip, the bottom was wedged in place. The cables run out the bottom just barely noticeable. No cuts or noticeable screws in the factory pillar cover and doesn't look too hateful...especially for a $20 pod. Here are some pics.
