Maybe the forum thought the keyword "Tuffskins" was relevant due to Roy's busted knuckles on this project?

Tuffskin doesn't apply to me..... I cut easy....and bleed a bunch.
Speaking of........
I was wearing cloth gloves.... Drilling out a rivet on a small piece of metal...... Using the drill press...... While drilling into the rivet the drill bit reached out and grabbed my left hand glove.... Pulled my finger into the side of the drill and bit it big time before I hit the off switch...... More chewed-up tissue and blood loss........

Dang it Roy. You can't seem to catch a break that doesn't involve bones.

Al least there was some progress made today..........
Finished all the primer coat.....
Almost finished rearranging all the wires and hyd hoses......
Decided to junk the brackets that hold the generator exhaust pipe in place....... Very rusty and the rubber piece to isolating vibration was almost ripped through. I'll make my own.
Planned out the brake line route...... Got the big coil straight...... I tried pushing the brake line through a small diameter plastic water pipe about 6 ft long....Worked well, the brake line is pretty straight.
Painted the big diameter tubes that hold the sewer hose.......

Sewer hose tubes

Cleaned up area

Rusty area before cleaning

Under belly braces primed

New Toys

Straighten brake line

Sewer hose storage tubes......

Finish coat on braces........

Roy, I'm interested to see what you do with the generator exhaust pipe. Mine makes a clunk sound at startup and shutdown. At operating RPM it's fine. I need to take a closer look at it to see what the problem is.

I'll post when I built them (2) and install them.

Is it just my computer or this thread? But a "related thread" pops up on the bottom of this thread about "Tufskinz"

I have a really nice woodshop in the basement and have seen a few videos around drill press usage and gloves. Certainly nothing that I would do. Long sleeves and ties are also not welcome around the tools.

Take care of yourself, Roy.

So, Roy, your comments about running brake line through small diameter water pipe. Was that just to straighten? Or are you thinking of leaving in permanently? I ask, because my dad did that years ago on his boat trailer on certain sections, thinking he was making things more reliable. The problem, and I realize a boat trailer is different with being submerged in water(always fresh water, we dont live by any oceans) a lot, but what happened is that the brake lines that were inside the tubing rusted out because water that managed to find it way inside the tubing, never dried out and the exposed brake lines were fine. So, I guess food for thought.

Thanks Dave...... This was "Just to Straighten"...... The brake line will be open. Since I have the coroplast underbelly covering down right now, I will run the brake line up in the protected area, out of the weather and in open air......
