I am inspecting everything....... making improvements as I go. Cleaning up all the rust steel and painting is a big PITA job....but it sure needs it.
I am swapping out all fasteners for SS hardware.....

Did get some more rust control work done. Also installed one disk brake assembly....... Then spent a bunch of time with the State Farm claims adjuster and a roofing contractor.... Hail damage to the roof.

Roy:

Does the new axle and brake package come with shocks? Shocks seem like a good idea but are they necessary or a good luxury to have?

No shocks.....
There are the Rubber Springs between the two axles that damping road shock.....

I don't feel there is a need for conventional shocks...

Coming along nicely Roy!
I just bought a cheap 3oz manual grease gun for doing trailer axle bearing grease, and already had a large general purpose grease gun for my tractor, but I may have to buy one of those battery operated ones after hearing your review.
