I have two winterization tips.
These are just tips and not a full process to follow.
Bruce....
- I use my little air compressor hooked to the water inlet and set at around 20 pounds, first winterize with air only. Remove as much existing water from the system as possible with air before adding the pink goodness. After the hot water tank is drained turn on the bypass. Turn on the air and visit every water tap and toilet. The air pushes the water out.
- I use the RV anti-freeze that is slightly more expensive but protects to like -50 or -70. Doesn't mean that is doesn't freeze, it just means that it doesn't start expanding until it gets to this level. Also, because I have already removed most of the water from the RV, the anti-freeze is not diluted much.
These are just tips and not a full process to follow.

I blow out all the water from the lines (it takes a while) and then add the RV antifreeze to only the drain traps (sink and tub). I don't run the antifreeze through the lines. This the method the prior owner of my trailer used since it was new (2006) and I saw no need to deviate from that since it worked for him.

I have used compressed air at about 40psi to blow out the water lines......
I have also pumped RV antifreeze through out the piping......
Both work.......

I park it inside these days.
Used to be I would just use the pink stuff and ran it until it was very red coming out of the faucets. Used an extra gallon to be sure it wasn't diluted.
I really don't think it's all that critical as long as you do something!

Most common issues that seems to trip people up is the ice maker, under sink water filters, and outdoor showers.
In my part of the world, lots of guys winterize RVs as a part-time job. $50 well spent for those that don't wish to do this task. First time that I winterized, I paid someone $35 to show me how it was done. Dealers and campground owners all seem to do this too.

Howdy Guys......
Back to Trucks.....Jolly Green....
I started hearing a grinding noise while the brake is applied.......
....Not sure how long this has been going on........Just had my hearing (Lack of) re-evaluated and my hearing aids re-adjusted.
Sounded like brakes.......Quick look at the fronts.....Not so sure there is any pad left......
Just ordered from RockAuto Ford Sever duty pads for both front and rear.
