Junkyard alert

On my way home and thought I'd stop by the local Pic N Pull.
Found a '72 F250 4X4 with power steering.
Grabbed the sliding rear window and cluster for myself!

F100/250 4WD's were not available with P/S until 1973.

1973/77 F250 4WD (High Boys): Only P/S available was Power Assist P/S, there were two different types, Garrison & Bendix, the parts do not interchange!

Good score on the rear slider. I'm on the hunt for one myself. Wonder what kind of PS setup was put in it?

I thought power steering was optional on 4wd since '68.... I remember reading that somewhere.

I got a slider window off Craigslist locally for $40 I think it was. I've yet to put it in...

Here's the P/S pump application chart for 1968/72 F100/350.

No see um applications for 4WD's .. because P/S wasn't available with 4WD until 1973.

Yea either I'm an idiot or they are impossible to find. I'm going on almost two months of trying to find one. I'm actually riding back to Michigan from Pennsylvania. Was supposed to pick one up and the. Guy never answered so I burned 8 hours of driving to go home empty handed. Never been so frustrated!!

Pennsylvania, the road cone capital of the US!

Here in SoCal, these doors are a dime a dozen, how many would'ja like?

I know of a long time (since 1929) family owned LA LA Land truck dismantlers yard that has dozens of 1968/72 F100/750 doors that were removed from the trucks decades ago.

They also had a pair of minty 1968/72 Crew Cab rear doors, but FTE member garbz2 bought them several years ago for about 300 bucks for the pair.

If someone could provide me with a link or phone number and could ship I would be all over it! Just tough being in Michigan where everything rots if you just look at it.
