Wanting to install 4r100 cooler lines on my e4od but want to make sure it will clear down pipe good.
Has anyone done this? I know I've heard about it on here but cant remember who done it.
the dp and exhaust should clear this assembly along with the larger 3/8 lines without any issue.not even close to interfering.
my DP is probably in the same place as the psd trucks of course and there is no concern with the upgrade (i still need to do it the big truck.chip truck already has it done.) coming in contact with anything.
I'm swapping my truck over to 4x4 with a new trans and have 4r100 lines that are 3/8 instead of 5/16 with a 6.0 cooler. But the 3/8 line fitting stick out farther than stock 5/16 ones because of the bypass
Dang I type slow 2 post since I started typing
Thanks
Its going slower than I wanted it to but not a big deal since I have the other truck incase I need to pull something. when I get this one done I'll sale the other 1 and start getting real on the short wide 7.3 swap truck
Isn't the fitting passage on the E40D smaller then the 4r100 ?
If so 3/8 lines wouldn't benefit

that's what the bypass assembly upgrades as well.

he's not wrong, but what happens without the bypass and your cooler(s) become plugged? no lube to the rear of the trans.with the bypass, you'll see your temps raise because fluid isn't going through your coolers but have time to pull over and correct the issue, rather than burning up your trans due to not having any atf returning to the rear of the trans.along with this, higher volume can move through a larger line.increasing lube volume is a good thing.it's a worthwhile upgrade for sure and should cost less than 25-30 bucks from a salvage yard or just 50ish range using new parts.
