2005 Ranger Heater Problem

Got a 2005 V6 Ranger with low mileage. Having a heater problem. We've replaced the thermostat, heater core, flushed the system twice, burped it to get the air out and replaced the hot water valve. The heater works for a few days then it goes cool: not cold. Adjusting "Temp" will make the temp decrease but it will not return to hot air. ??????????

Could be a water valve? I know you replaced it, try bypassing it by plugging the vacuum lines and manually opening the valve to insure hot water gets to the heater core. Are the heater hoses hot on both sides of the valve?

Blend door problem maybe, it's a common problem part in heater woes & if you find its faulty, there is a rework procedure in the "Tech Info" thread atop this forums index page that you could try. Let us know what you find & how it goes.
