Need help with choosing turbo!

Hi, i'm building a 460 big block. It is currently in a machine shop getting checked over. They are building my trannsmission and machining heads also. They are building it for a turbocharger, and im not sure what size turbo to get. My buddy has the same block built and he is still trying to find the right turbo too. His motor has 550hp and 650tq. Mine is going in a 70 f250. So my main questions are what size turbine, a/r ratio, i'm planning on running 10-15psi

The big thing with choosing a turbo is knowing your horsepower goal and then knowing how much boost you want to run, and then you start looking at compressor maps for the turbos. If you don't know how to read them, watch this video.

Once you know how to read compressor maps, choosing a turbo suddenly became a whole lot easier because you now have an idea as to what to expect.

Also, read through these tech articles by Garrett. There are more articles to read once you scroll over to the right.

Knowledge is everything. Teach yourself first and then come back for more questions.

Call Turbonetics. They were great with me.
