Any modders or hot rodders out there do a crown vic front suspension swap into an 80-96 f100 0r 150? I know its been done to pre 80 trucks but I have a 94 shortbox 150 with a 351 fuel injected engine and lots to come. Any tips or pointers Im all ears, Thanks!
I thought about a drop i beam swap n stumbled onto the crown vic swap. I think for handling reasons alone it looks like a good way to go. But I havent lowered a vehicle in 25 years lol.
the crown vic, or any small control arm setup, wouldn't be all that bad if you have a welder and a buncha time. I don't think any gains would justify the work required for that particular swap, but if its for a hobby project then any "is it worth it"'s go out the window.
the 351 with a 434 stroker kit in a Dart block with AFR 215's should make about 550hp on the motor then just hit it with a 225hp shot of spray(or more) and call it a day . Plenty of hp with out all the weight of the diesel on the nose of a short wb truck.
