Depends on the engine. On Mopar RBs it's #7 rod EVERY time. On Ford Kent 1.6 engines it's #2 or #3 rod. I forget what the pattern failure is on the Cleveland block, but I know there is one. On very few engines will you lose a main before you lose a rod, nature of the oiling pattern.
