Took delivery of a ruby red crew short bed 6.7 F250 today.
First thought is the exterior is a bit busy. Skipped the off road package and it's hideous sticker this time. Seem to be enjoying a smoother ride. Big bumps are soaked up (without GMC bounce) even with an empty bed. Small road imperfections create a lot of chop but the cushy seats deceive, as intended. Side skitter is still there, and I do hope it's not due to frame shudder. Probs not. It's easy to drive, with a comfy stable steering center line and huge double mirrors.
The interior is disturbingly weak from what I've read of GM and learned in 16000 miles on a Ram limited 2014. I'm all for progress even by fits and starts; generally newer is better. However **** controls ( versus buttons and touch screens) can be reached and adjusted without looking. Ford has the edge there. I'd also estimate a 50/50 chance the GM digital Denali screen actually works. But I still want one.
On to the good stuff: Ford has the drivetrain nailed. Good sounds, no gear hunting, no lag, ridiculous torque, smooth shifts. Really bad mileage so far but it's in town and probably winter diesel by now (Nov 29 Eastern Iowa). Brake modulation is literally like a car!
Most importantly my wife likes it.
Cheers

Congrats on the new truck. Very nice! I didn't get to order mine and the one I wound up buying off of the lot had the FX-4 package, but being a Platinum, they left off the goofy decals. It did however come with the "Rancho" branded FMC shocks that contributed to the side skitter you mentioned. I replaced them a couple of months ago with real Ranchos and the ride and control are remarkably better. 1 year and 14,000 miles later, mine still looks, feels and smells new and I still smile every time I hop in for a drive. Good luck with yours!
