Axles

Hey guys looks like another snag in my project truck.
1 week ago I sent my axles to Mouser to be cut & resplined. Sent both in the same box, total weight 44 lbs.
Well I phoned them yesterday & it seems they lost one of them. Now how can you loose a 22 lb axle?? Now what they suggest is for me to buy 2 new axles from them. What a way to make a sale!
Guess they also have a hard time keeping records because they had my address all messed up so if they even tried to return them they would of ended up in Texas or somewhere other than Reno Nv..
So word to the wise, when you ship to Mouser you had better put your stuff in a steel box with a combo lock attached & make them call you to get the combo to open it.
One more thing, the man I talked to there told me this has not the first time this has happened.
So guys when you ship parts CYA.

Axles

Tough break They should at least give you a new axle for free.

Axles

they should replace it for you or at least offer you a 2 for 1 deal on a new pair. Very bad business on their part. Do they have record that they received 2 axles from you? (ie, an order form or work estimate?); or do you have same?
If so, you have recourse. "The customer is always right" is the best business policy to follow and replacing one axle will not break their bank (afterall, it's THEIR fault; they lost it).

Hope you get a new one or a new pair free. That'd make a bad situatioin all better now wouldn't it...
