2001 Excursion Seats
I have a 2001 excursion limited with leather seats. The driver seat becomes very uncomfortable on extended trips. Does anyone have a solution for either a new seat or ideas on how to make the current seat more comfortable.

Ford started skimping on the padding in seats in 2001 - the only recourse is to take the vehicle to an upholsterer, who can increase the padding. I had a 2002 Mercury GM that had the same problem, fortunately it was still in warranty, so Ford replaced the padding for free. They said it cost $220 for the set. I would imagine you could find it cheaper somewhere. The difference the padding makes is amazing - go for a harder pad, and you will be comfortable for long distances
